Vehicle Inspector - PRS Auto
Louisville, KY (Strawberry Yard)
Pay: $20-$22 per hour

PRS Auto is seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle Inspector to join our team at the Strawberry Yard in Louisville, KY. If you enjoy working around vehicles, have a strong eye for detail, and want to be part of a fast-paced rail and automotive operation, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:
As a Vehicle Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safe movement of vehicles throughout the terminal. Responsibilities include:
  • Inspecting vehicles on arrival pads, inbound railcars, and outbound railcars.
  • Identifying and documenting vehicle damage and loading deficiencies.
  • Verifying VINs, railcar information, and inspection records.
  • Conducting pre-unload and post-load inspections.
  • Ensuring vehicles are properly loaded, secured, and positioned.
  • Completing inspection reports, photographs, and required documentation.
  • Communicating damage, safety concerns, and operational deficiencies to supervision.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting quality control initiatives.
  • Following all railroad safety rules and company procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Automotive inspection experience preferred, but training is available.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify vehicle damage and loading issues.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to accurately document inspection findings.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely work around vehicles, railcars, and railroad operations.
