PRS Auto – Kansas City, MO (Voltz / Norfolk Southern Terminal)
Are you looking for a stable, high-paying union career with excellent benefits and hands-on work? PRS Auto is hiring motivated, safety-focused team members to join our growing operation at the Kansas City, MO, Voltz (Norfolk Southern) rail terminal.
In this exciting, fast-paced role, you’ll be part of the critical supply chain that keeps new vehicles moving across the country—loading and unloading brand-new automobiles directly from railcars.
Why You’ll Love This Job:

- Starting pay: $28.10 per hour
- Guaranteed 8 hours (currently on an 8-hour bid)
- 5 days per week
- Start time: usually 7:00 a.m., but based on Union Bids, work until production is complete

What You’ll Do:
- Inspect new vehicles inside railcars for damage prior to unloading.
- Prepare railcars for safe loading and unloading operations.
- Drive brand-new automobiles on and off railcars with precision and care.
- Work outdoors in an active railyard environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety policies.

Schedule Details:
- 5-day workweek
- Days off are seniority-based
- 7:00 a.m. start time
- Production-based end time
- Availability required for weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
To qualify, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass a 7-year background check and drug test
- Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Lift up to 50 lbs overhead and work at heights
- No high school diploma or GED required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must live within 1 hour of the Kansas City terminal. Out-of-area candidates or those needing relocation will not be considered.
