PRS is looking for an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Norfolk Southern Harrisburg rail terminal in a recession-proof industry. We're hiring immediately for this position.
You will be working directly for Pacific Rail Services (PRS) and will not be considered an employee of the railroad as PRS are contractors of major railroads.

Compensation:
- Hourly pay with yearly income potential of $45,000-$60,000 per year (Which includes overtime)
- Pay rate is commensurate with experience.
Shift:
- 3pm Start Time
- 8 hr shift with available overtime
Candidates:
- Should have a minimum of 2-year experience in the mechanical field and be preventative maintenance minded.
- Must have own tools (Yearly tool allowance provided).
- Must have experience and knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components.
- Will need a valid driver's license.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair side loader equipment, forklifts, and company vehicles.
- Maintain Hostler Fleet.
- Assist in other areas as needed by managers.

Applicants for this role must meet the general requirements for employment with the company, according to the Company hiring process which include:
- Must have a valid Driver's License. **NO CDL REQUIRED**
- Ability to pass a 7 year background check. (Felonies in the last 7 yrs jail time in the last 5 yrs or pending charges could disqualify applicants)
- Ability to pass a drug test & a Physical Capabilities Test.
- (No GED or diploma required)
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- You will eventually be required to provide your own tools.
